True Blood's Jason Stackhouse talks about the new series

Talking about the filming of Season 4, Ryan said that the series has grown up to a whole new level - whatever that means?

When talking about his character in TB, Ryan said that 'Jason got it so low on the evolutionary totem pole’. Can't really argue with that, but we think its all part of his appeal though.

Ryan went on to say that 'This season is no different and probably his (Jason’s) biggest growth period. Now a young boy turns into a grown man, and trusts his disposition of authority. He is supposed to look after the family that Crystal left him with so there is a real sense of authority that he really hasn’t really had before. He has always lived a very selfish and self involved life and now he thinks of others before himself.'

Who doesn’t love a character that grows with every season?

Ryan on Crystal: Apparently she’s coming back and there are some pretty dark scenes to follow but the nature of their relationship is also due a change and this one’s going to be different from what happened in the Charlaine Harris novels…

Ryan on the often slightly die-hard slightly obsessive and occasionally intimidating fans: Yep, he loves them!
