Alexander Skarsgard: the low down

Possibly one of the hottest characters in True Blood at the moment, Alexander Skarsgard has just completed a photo shoot and interview with Vogue – surely a good reason to buy that issue!

During the interview Alexander revealed that he wasn’t 100% sure about joining the True Blood cast. Funnily enough, his reason for this was what so many actors have utilised before – not wanting to be typecast / tied to one character.

‘I was nervous about doing a TV series, because I wasn't sure I wanted to play the same character over and over,’ Skarsgård said.

In a different interview, Alexander said that ‘There's got to be something new, something fresh. I want to almost be intimidated when I embark on a journey. I wouldn't say there's a fear, but I do get slightly nervous in the beginning when that happens, and I like that feeling. That triggers me a lot." 

So the man likes a bit of variety! It’s all ok though as he then went on to say to Vogue that he doesn’t regret this decision at all…

(spoiler alert) Season 4 sees Eric loses his memory, which we’re guessing will lend itself toward some pretty interesting if not bizarre storylines!

‘… this season is really fun, Eric gets amnesia and becomes like a big child.’
